You can probably tell from the state of his gorgeous face that Arrow has had a rough life. But amazingly, despite his neglect this beautiful man is super affectionate and cuddly. He just wants a home that can care for him, encourage him forward and not get held back by the past.
He’s just a little guy, very skinny. But that doesn’t mean he needs to be allowed free reign on the food! Arrow needs to gain weight slowly and steadily, with an exercise schedule suitable to help him build up his fitness safely.
Arrow most likely will need some help learning how to live inside a family home as he has hasn’t had that opportunity in a long time, if ever. He needs a patient home that is prepared to gently guide him through the rules and boundaries of family life. As he has been deprived of food he can tend to snatch, so he will need constant and consistent training to help him overcome this behaviour and teach him good manners.
This sensitive guy will do best in an only dog home at this stage, as he really needs some individual attention to help him start a new chapter in his life. Younger kids would be a little too scary for him, but he may be okay with teenagers.
Arrow has the typical Husky prey-drive so will need a home with no cats or other pets, a reasonably large yard with secure, 6 foot fencing, and a family committed to building him up both physically and mentally. This amazing dog has the sweetest nature and just wants a home to take good care of him in a stress-free environment.
Arctic breed experience is essential.
