Once you lock eyes with this guy, he’ll have your heart.  Max will make you feel like you are the only person in the world and that he would do anything for you.  And then he will go and do the same thing to the next 10 people he comes across!

Max is a charming 3 year old lad that knows how to take advantage of his good looks.  He’s super food motivated, super smart and super cheeky.  If the person at the end of his lead is confident and capable, Max will be an absolute angel.  Leave him to his own devices and he’ll be a devil!

Max loves the company of humans and will be happiest hanging out wherever you are.  He gets a bit concerned when initially left alone and will carry on like he’s been mortally wounded (he has a flair for the dramatic) before eventually settling down.

Max needs a reasonably-sized, super-secure yard with minimum 6 foot high, dig-proof fencing.  Although Max loves to play bitey-face and rough and tumble zoomies like any good Husky, he can be a bit of a bully if not closely supervised.   For this reason, he would prefer to be an only dog, or matched with a suitable female dog of similar size that can put up with his jerky ways and a human that can closely monitor their interactions.

Max is a typical Husky and has a strong prey-drive, so he cannot be around any small animals, including small dogs, and can never be exercised off-lead.  He also needs an owner who is conscious of this and will proactively manage his walks and advocate for him.  Little kids are just too exciting to be around for Max, so he’s looking for an adult-only home that is committed to his ongoing training and enrichment.  In return, he will provide endless affection and an awesome running buddy.

Max is currently in a kennel environment and is looking for either a foster or adoptive home.  If you are looking for an absolute heartbreaker to share your couch with, and you meet all his requirements, apply today!

Max is not available for interstate adoption, and is not suitable for apartments, rural properties or residences with a small yard space.
