PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET ALL RICKY'S REQUIREMENTS
If you're looking for a red fluffy enigma to spend your days with and you play your cards right, Ricky may just choose you to be his new crew!
He has a list of demands though, which he isn’t willing to budge on - walks and tasty food are currency and Ricky likes to be rich with these. His 2 favourite times of the day are walkies and dinner.
Nap time: He likes to do this a lot! As such, Ricky needs a space inside to snooze when the people are home.
Zoomies: A yard for running around like a looney is important.
While that satisfies Ricky’s desires, we have a few requirements for him too. Ricky has had very limited exposure to the world up until the past few months, so he is still learning how to be a pet. Loud noises or voices can be terrifying to him. Children can be a bit too stimulating.
Small dogs, cats, pocket pets and livestock are way too exciting for Ricky. He is happy to sniff and say hello to another dog his size and up, but then goes about his business. Ricky isn’t interested in playing with others, he finds more value in exploring the world. The same can be said for being affectionate with people. Ricky is gaining confidence everyday, but he needs a family that is prepared to accept him and love him as a dog that may never willingly seek out a pat or cuddle and be okay with that. A family that understands that it will take him a long time to feel comfortable and settle into the household routine.
Because of Ricky’s sensitive nature, we are looking for a home with no children, a quite lifestyle, secure fencing and no pocket pets. He may be okay living with another dog his size or above, but there is every chance he would just live alongside it and not be besties.
Ricky is not suited to apartment living or a residence with a small yard. He is not available for interstate adoption.
If you can offer Ricky a home to thrive in, apply today!
