Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a dog rescue? Well, you’ve come to right place. Here we will be posting updates about what we’re up to, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet some of our volunteers, foster heroes, adopters and their dogs (ok, mostly the dogs).

Some of you may be wondering who we are, so first off a bit about who we are. The team at Arctic Rescue Victoria Inc have been involved in dog rescue for a number of years. Up until recently we were operating as the Victorian branch of Alaskan Malamute Rehoming Aid Australia (AMRAA). While we were a part of AMRAA, we were seeing an increasing need for us to help with the foster and adoption of other arctic breeds and to better help these dogs decided to start a new group. So after giving it a lot of thought, Arctic Rescue Victoria (ARV) was formed, with the goal to rescue and rehome all large arctic breed dogs (including Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds and Akitas). This will allow us to better serve the needs of these dogs we love.

We will be providing updates here on a fortnightly basis, so don’t forget to come back regularly for more updates. You can also help us out by following us on Facebook and Instagram, or by donating (donations over $2 are tax deductible).

See you next time,
